The Joy of Quick Auction
The Quick Auction Plugin never localized to my language, and thus I had never used to it before…
Which proved to be, a big mistake…
Today, I was having a cold and take a day off.
On the bed I recalled Belsebub had in his post
I take the time to localize the addon myself (more like a hack, since I only localized the part I needed)
and BANG, it shocks me…
It address the most time consuming part in my glyph-making industry, stock checking, listing and undercutting (I don’t do it, since it’s too time consuming without QA).
The Cancel Auction part seems having some problem, I’ll take a closer look soon.
WIth some configuration, I guess I can be much more efficient on glyph market than before…
For anyone who didn’t tried the QA2, you should…
I am happy…

Quick Auctions needs a nerf, it makes playing the AH so easy if you are the only one using it ^^
I wonder how long it will take before it will become popular with a bigger part of the wow community, and what impact that would have on the markets

Indeed, it is OP,
Consider the time different on Auctioneer’s post time for 300+ glyphs with QA,
it’s like PVPing with a 80lv DK vs a 70lv holy priest.
And I am likely the very few people who used QA in my server,
since it required localization myself, and it pose a big hurdle for many player.
Its design really suit inscription the best,
but I wonder if other market can benifits from it or not…
gotta try it out on the other market
Last but not least, thanks for the comment

I think enchant scrolls and glyphs are the ideal markets for it. In the hands of one person, its devistating to the competition. In the hads of 3-4 peole, its devistating to your market.
The game changes a lot when they also use it.
It does make working with a massive inventory of glyphs very easy. I keep even the glyphs that don’t sell very well in my bags. If QA finds a spot to post it, great.

I agree it is fantastic. I don’t think it will be broken by blizzard as it does not stress the server to do any activity wrongly, and it is available to anyone.
My server has 2 others that use it for glyphs, and it is competition. White List works well for us, because we know we could destroy the market otherwise.

I am not quite sure about the white list.
And I don’t expect cartel works.
Since they can always undercut you with another alts
and pretend it’s a new player.
And there are always Gevlon type of trader in the market
I guess QA just set a new standard for the competition, which will be a new equilibrium.
Price Drop is inevitable.

I did changed to use two alts with QA, I was posting with one Alts only, but then I can repost all the undercut automatically.
I read about your QA war (Sorry about that), I guess this won’t happens to me, since I don’t plan to “own” the market (yet). The server is too crowd, and I can’t even craft enough glyph for all the needs of them.
I can just hope there won’t be a dedicated market trader try to take over it.

I just talked to some of my competition a few weeks ago(those I was pretty sure of that they had QA) and made a white list deal, it ended up in a bid % war( our buyout prices were all thesame but in order to appear on top bid had to be lower then competition and white list doesn’t count this)
it ended up in big being 35% of buyout price or treshold price, I’ve seen quite some ppl placing bids but I can’t really say I care.
as long as its above treshold(3g) I still make 2g profit minimum which is enough

I don’t believe cartel in wow, so I only white list my friend IRL.
In fact I don’t have to, since we are in different market
I like people placing bids personally(not as a seller
)
That indicate they are willing to wait, while patience is gold.
I believe allowing bids will attract those price sensitive buyer. While wowecon’s report suggest otherwise
I counted my time needed to craft the glyph into the material cost as well, so my threshold is kinda high compare to other crafter.
I try hard to balance out the time I need on AHing over the profit. And I am willing to give up some gold for the time. (Diminish returns)
Hope you’ll get a nice profit on the Scribe business
