Leaking Signal
Gnomeaggedon had a post on Fubar_AddonSpamFu
Which show us that addon sometime send invisible whisper to others, without knowledge of the sender nor the receiver.
Install the Fubar_AddonSpamFu, and you’ll know who’s sending those invisible whisper to you.
Since I had a connection issue recently, I had look into the addon as well. (The issue on yesterday’s post resolved by reinstall addons and emptying the wtf folder )

I notice that when I login my bank alt, I picked up couple of signal from my competitor, contract farmer and some trader I am not aware of.
My theory is that, I am in their friend list.
And some of them is camping me…
Call me Paranoid, but at least I know I am on who’s “friend” list….
What to do then…
You know who’s camping you :
1. You can camp them back 
. (In which I won’t)
2. You can switch alts around, creating new alts.
To found that you are noise…
Disable those noise Addon (At least on the bank alt), Gear Score and Carbonate Quest are two of them.

Oh wow. I didn’t think much about this before now. Some addons will share data with your friends. I bet that is what is happening here. They added you as a friend to track you, but the mods they have installed is giving them away.
Oh god, I don’t think I want to know how many people are tracking me. It will make me want to mess with them.
I wonder if you can fingerprint people that are tracking you. Like in the screen shot you posted. I see the same 3 mods in the same order twice with the same amount of data send. I would guess that those are the alts of the same person if they are from different people.

But yes, I am surprised I had been tracked by them.
I found some competitor I never aware of before.
And about the finger print thing…
it seems the byte send is related to how long you log in….
we can spot what ui a guy is using, but well, chance of using the same ui is not that small right?

I understand the tracking part but I don’t get the ‘silent whisper’ part… silent whisper happens if I have em on my friends list?

Yes, some Addon will broadcast whisper to your friend and Guild mate (Take Guild position for instance)
That’s why those trader is whispering me XD
I’ll have a look on the link sometime. (Can’t promise that yet)
