I, too, have discovered them good for this use. You can also be experimental to try new things on them because if you wipe you can always blame it on, "The tank isn't gemming for stamina like the one in my old guild so I'm not used to this smaller lifebar." or call someone out for not using bubble/iceblock/dispersion and you can know that they didn't because M&S dpsers are oblivious to any ability they have that doesn't deal damage!
