that was a great post. the examples of when i've been punished by a slow server come to mind much more readily than when i've made a killing on something. it's much more difficult to maintain bank space with dozens of piles of de-valued dust. don't bet the farm on an assumption (or set of assumptions).

that said, your hot and cold list is solid. scribes will want to be on the ball because of (slightly) increased demand as the FotM specs shift around. the biggest thing is recognizing trends as they're happening and being flexible enough to unload your stocks at a 10% loss before it becomes a 50% loss.

I'm buying enchant mats and heavy borean leather. I anticipate some movement in these areas but more impt I expect a demand for leg armor and enchants which I will be able to provide cheaply.

I didn't know about the ammo change until you pointed it out. After some investigation, buying up Eternal Earths and Shadows is a good idea. They're at all-time lows on my server (probably because of the recent infinite dust tank) and are good value. Well done!

I'm stockpiling saronite bars, but also Eternal Earth/Shadow because of the new ammunition that requires 2 crystalized earth/shadow.

Good post. I've been a bit concerned that I wasn't a profit-minded player because 3.3 just didn't seem like a big deal to me.

Looking at the secondary consequences of the patch seem far more interesting than the initial expectations. For example: Saronite Bar --> Titanium transmute will affect saronite prices to a degree, but how that affects the rare gem department is more interesting to speculate on.

The changes coming to 3.3 seem more likely to shift farming standards than crafting ones, especially in regards to things like Borean Leather.

I think the best thing a player can do is sell to the 3.3 speculators, just as you yourself have been doing.

Keep up the good work! =)
