At the first month of Wotlk release, one of my friend was busy selling this Overcharged Capacitor,
like 10+ at every five minutes.
For 50g-70g each, while Auction Hall was selling 30g and the material cost was 20g.

While anyone can spend 15-20 mins (fly back and take the ship to Stormwind AH). 20G just isn’t worth it and they are in the heat of leveling.

I am sorry but I find it hard to believe he sells 10+ every five minutes. I am playing on probably one of the most populated realms in Europe (Sylvanas) and even in prime time there are barely more than 10-15 people online in any leveling zone. Your friend was probably exaggerating a tiny bit.
But then again even if you sell 10 per HOUR, it’s awesome money for semi-afking. You could watch a movie and do other stuff while profiting 400-500g.

dont want to sound rude. today this wouldnt work… the point is that there maybe something like this again. so watchout. if you find something like that dont go to the ah… just craft 10 of whatever and wait at the questgiver for your customers… its like sellings icecream.

Well, surely it’s won’t happened nowadays

I believe it and I think it’s a very neat idea. Cloth should sell well for the leveling turn ins too
